MARVIN RIDGE'S JACOB ORLOSKI
The 2023 UCHSBaseball.com’s Newcomer of the Year is Marvin Ridge’s Jacob Orloski. As a junior, Jacob finished 4-0 with a 2.03 ERA while striking out 12 batters. Orloski helped the Mavericks to an 11-15 record, and advanced to the 1st round of the state playoffs. CONGRATULATIONS JACOB!!

Rick Hurni (W)
WEDDINGTON'S RICK HURNI
The 2023 UCHSBaseball.com’s Coach of the Year is Weddington’s Rick Hurni. Coach Hurni, in his 1st year at the helm of the Warriors led them 21-7 record, a SCC Conference title, SCC tournament title and advanced the Warriors to the 2nd round of the state playoffs. Coach Hurni was also named SCC Coach of the Year. CONGRATULATIONS COACH HURNI!!!
